  • Intrinsic Me™ is a private, cash-based practice in Virginia and Puerto Rico with some insurance coverage in Pennsylvania. You must be physically located in one of these states during your session. Where we do not accept insurance, but we provide personalized care without the limitations of third-party systems.

  • Yes. All services are available in English and Spanish, and you can choose your preferred language when booking.

  • The intake session (60 minutes) is your opportunity to share what you’re experiencing, your goals, and what support you’re looking for. Your intake is a session with a board-certified psychiatrist — not a therapist, not an NP. You receive a personalized care plan and a direct relationship with your provider.

  • We currently serve clients located in Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Puerto Rico. Due to licensing laws, you must be physically located in one of these areas during your session.

  • Yes — many of our clients receive partial reimbursement from their insurance company by submitting a superbill (an itemized receipt) for out-of-network mental-health services.

     How does reimbursement work?

After each session, you’ll receive a superbill that lists your diagnosis code, service code, and payment details. You can then submit this document to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

If your plan offers these benefits, your insurer may send you a partial refund (typically a percentage of the session cost) after processing your claim.

  • Call your insurance provider and ask:

    • “Do I have out-of-network benefits for outpatient mental-health or psychiatry visits?”

    • “What percentage of the fee is reimbursed after I meet my deductible?”

    • “Where can I submit my superbill?”

  • Some clients choose to use health-savings (HSA) or flex-spending (FSA) accounts to pay for care. These accounts typically reimburse psychiatric and therapy services with a superbill or receipt.

  • We don’t submit claims directly, but we provide everything you need to make the process easy—detailed superbills, clear instructions, and ongoing support if your insurance requires additional information.
